BE
- Be off - go (जाना)
- Back out – to withdraw from a promise (पीछे हटना)
- Back up – to support (समर्थन करना)
BANK
- Bank on - keep faith (भरोसा करना)
BEAR
- Bear out - to confirm (पुष्टि करना/समर्थन देना)
- Bear away - win (जीतना)
- Bear down – crush (कुचलना)
- Bear upon – relate (सम्बन्धित होना)
- Bear with – tolerate (सहन करना)
BLOW
- Blow down – fall (गिरना)
- Blow out - quench (बुझाना)
- Blow up – erupt / decimate (विस्फोट होना/बरबाद करना)
- Blow over – to stop (थमना/रुक जाना)
Why are phrasal verbs useful in the IELTS exam, both in Speaking and in Writing ? The main reason is that it shows off your vocabulary and it lets your examiner know that you can use complex words to explain your essay or answer.
