BE
  • Be off - go (जाना)

BACK
  • Back out – to withdraw from a promise (पीछे हटना)
  • Back up – to support (समर्थन  करना)

BANK
  • Bank on - keep faith (भरोसा करना)

BEAR
  • Bear out - to confirm (पुष्टि करना/समर्थन देना)
  • Bear away - win (जीतना)
  • Bear down – crush (कुचलना)
  • Bear upon – relate (सम्बन्धित होना)
  • Bear with – tolerate (सहन करना)

BLOW
  • Blow down – fall (गिरना)
  • Blow out - quench (बुझाना)
  • Blow up – erupt / decimate (विस्फोट होना/बरबाद करना)
  • Blow over – to stop (थमना/रुक जाना)

  1. Why are phrasal verbs useful in the IELTS exam, both in Speaking and in Writing ? The main reason is that it shows off your vocabulary and it lets your examiner know that you can use complex words to explain your essay or answer.
